Jennifer Tilly was conceived in Los Angeles on 16 September 1958 in very poor circumstances. Her mother, who was a failing teacher and actor, was a salesperson for automobiles, while her father worked as an automobile salesman. Jennifer, the second of the four children in her family was often with her mom for her performances at the theater, and was very impressed with her. Jennifer's parents divorced when she was five. Jennifer was a resident of British Columbia for most of her life when her mother and remaining four kids moved to the province. Jennifer, although she had developed into an exceptionally talented young woman but was hardly a studious individual. As a child Jennifer was frequently being the target of bullies in Canadian schools. The theater interest began to wane throughout her high school years which is why, as a consequence, she actively participated in plays in addition to the help of her mother. All of her children were inspired by their mother to follow their passion of art. Then she began acting.
